Ecuador Customs charges 1% of the C&F value.
The insurance that is assigned to shipments is only documentary, that is, only to comply with a requirement.
In case of loss, damage or theft of the merchandise, this insurance does not cover or respond for claims suffered in the merchandise.
Instead, the insurance we offer is:
Door to door
Covers merchandise against:
Natural Phenomena,
Strikes
Damage
Losses
Theft, and
It is covered from the supplier's warehouse at origin to the warehouse of the importer at destination.
The cost is 0.6% of the C&F value.
More Administrative Expenses USD 50.00 + 12% VAT.
In addition, in case the merchandise is very expensive, this insurance allows to insure the merchandise in an additional 20%, if the client requires it, that is to say, the merchandise will be covered in 120% and on that value In the event of a claim, the insurance will respond.
